Li (Livia) Gao is an Asian American artist based in NYC New York, NY.

Proficient in photography, painting, drawing, and printmaking, she blends traditional mediums with modern technology to create captivating pieces. As an early adopter of digital tools, Gao leverages technology into her practice.

Drawing from her Chinese and Japanese roots, Gao’s known to infuse ink wash in her watercolor and abstract paintings.

Gao’s work has graced prestigious venues such as the Kellogg School of Management and the Ford Motor Company in Chicago, leading to full scholarships and a $20000 grant to install an art gallery for Mather senior living. Published in Kitchen & Bath Business, Environments for Aging, and Vogue, her artwork can also be found in hotels.

Li Gao received a bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University.
